A look At UB Sponsored Pros throughout Time

Ultimate Bet has had more professionals under its wing than all of the other poker websites combined, and a lot of that can be traced back to the website’s origins. Instead of throwing together yet another poker site with pretty graphics and silly character icons, UB was determined to create a place where players of all skill levels could come and play the world’s best card game on their terms.

This mission was accomplished by asking WSOP and WPT professionals to get involved in the actual groundwork of the website by deciding what options serious gamblers actually want to see or what types of statistics would be the most beneficial to them. Every square inch of UB was designed by passionate poker players just like you and me, which is why there’s literally not another website around quite like it.

Here is a list of former and current UB professionals-

Phil Hellmuth

The all time leading WSOP bracelet winner really doesn’t need any introductions since his name is so common around the poker world. Just in case you don’t know who he is, then we will point out that he’s probably the guy you saw on television that was crying like a spoiled child after winning a hand; and we won’t even talk about those that he lost. Hellmuth is truly a statistical genius though and top poker professionals clearly agree that his game is well beyond everyone else’s on the tour. He is also the 4th overall in lifetime earnings with well over $11,000,000 collected in tournament games alone, a large portion of which he collected on 11 WSOP wins.

Annie Duke

Annie is by far the most successful female player ever on the WSOP circuit with just over $2,000,000 in total earnings. She is also one of only two females to ever win a WSOP tournament and her victory in 2004 launched her into instant stardom. Other players on the tour have commented through the years that she is easily on par with her male counterparts, which is a good thing since Duke refuses to play in tournaments designed for women only.

Joe Sebok

Although Sebok is relatively new to the World Poker Tour when compared to many of his rivals, there are nearly two million reasons to take this young superstar seriously. That’s how much money he’s raked in over the past four and a half years with the WPT and he already has four impressive wins under his belt as well. Much of his natural skill can probably be attributed to his father Barry Greenstein, who was quite a proven professional poker player himself.

Prahlad Freeman

Freeman is one of UB’s newest professionals, so if you haven’t heard of him then it’s not a big deal. That is, of course, unless you see a player named prahlad sitting at your UB table; then you’d better seriously watch out. Freeman built a name for himself over the past several years as an online player, yet he transitioned beuatifully to live tournament play by winning both a WSOP and a WPT title. With over two million dollars in earnings over the last year alone, this may well be the next big name in the world of poker.

Maria Ho

While Maria may not have won as much money on the tours as Annie Duke, her $500,000 in tournament play is certainly nothing to sneeze at. Her knowledge of the game is truly unquestionable though, and her flashy personality is why you’ll often see her in the commentator chair during matches that she does not play in.

Eric Baldwin

I know what you’re thinking….and no, he’s not yet another one of those Baldwin brothers that you’ve never heard of. While he’s probably not going to be broadcast on the bigscreen any time soon, Eric Baldwin has made quite a name for himself by winning over $2.75 million dollars in the past two years alone. In fact, if you ask around the tour many will tell you that he’s one of the most dangerous players in all of poker right now, which was why he was named the 2009 player of the year.

Brandon Cantu

Cantu is another young gun running the poker circuit with well over two million dollars in total winnings tucked under his belt. He has also earned over a dozen top ten finishes in various tournaments, including two first place wins in dramatic fashion.

Other Team UB Professionals

People like Tiffany Michelle, Hollywood Dave Stann, Scott Ian, Adam Levy, and Byran Devonshire all all respected for their solid tournament play and the contirbutions that they give at UB. Ultimate Bet is dedicated to constantly expanding their house professionals so it would literally be impossible to name every single player who has ever been sponsored by the website. In fact, on any given day you can find dozens of tour pros battling it out for big pots on Ultimate Bet, which is why it’s by far the best poker website in the world.
